Kakum National Park is one of Ghana's most popular tourist destinations, covering 375 square kilometers of pristine tropical rainforest. The park is famous for its unique canopy walkway - a series of seven suspension bridges up to 40 meters above the forest floor, offering spectacular views of the rainforest canopy and its diverse wildlife.
History
Established in 1931 as a forest reserve, Kakum was upgraded to national park status in 1992. The canopy walkway was constructed in 1995 and has since become one of West Africa's most iconic tourist attractions.

Best Time to Visit
November to March (dry season) for best wildlife viewing. The park is open year-round from 8 AM to 4 PM.
