About
Nzulezu is a remarkable village built entirely on stilts over Lake Tadane (Amansuri Wetland). Home to approximately 500 residents, the village features houses, a church, a bar, and a school all constructed on wooden platforms above the water. Visitors reach the village by a scenic canoe ride through the wetlands.
History
According to legend, the ancestors of Nzulezu migrated from ancient Ghana following a snail, which led them to this lake. The village has been inhabited for over 600 years and represents a unique example of human adaptation to wetland environments.
